For over a decade, Clarence Rich has refined his style throughout New Jersey highways, using murals to create a sense of place and community. He is a classically trained painter, earning a certificate of Fine and Commercial Arts at duCret School of Art.
In 2013, his show “Artists in Dire Straits” at Works on Paper Gallery in Philadelphia, PA combined his assertive, colorful style with contemporary design. These pieces launched an examination into a space of what is and what will be. Rich is constantly playing with language, translating the poetry of spoken word into visual experiences.
Now, Rich’s work can be seen in galleries throughout the tri-state area, with exhibitions in Philadelphia and Jersey City.
